About

Under the School of Basic Sciences, the Department of Mathematics and Statistics, SRM University Sikkim was officially formed in the year 2019.

Currently, the Department is acting as a bridge providing courses like Business Statistics, Allied Mathematics, and Mathematics for Economics etc. at inter-departmental level.

The Department aims to encourage and enable students to recognize that Mathematics and Statistics permeates the world around us, to enjoy the subject and develop patience and persistence when solving day to day problems.

The Department aims to establish core courses in the respective subject soon.
