Jalipool has an old age home called Iswarabha Samiti Sangha . The NSS wing of SRM University Sikkim organised a visit to this place . We wanted to help them and provide them with some aid, but who knew that we would return back from the Old Age home after learning something more meaningful from them. They were happy when we first arrived even though they were living with some problems in that place and they were again all the same happy and cheerful when we made some necessary changes around their places. What was it that made them feel unaffected by any positive or negative things that affected their life style ? The possibilities were endless but the answer was as obvious and simple as their outlook towards life was, the answer was that they were Satisfied with whatever they had, nothing affected them . They were content with what little they had and most probably even if the NSS wing would not have had come to visit them they would have still have been happy with whatever they had at the moment. This was something to be learned, a lesson hidden behind their gleaming wrinkles of unfathomable satisfaction.

Our humble visit and contribution to the senior citizens there might not have been great but we as a family learned more about life and learned one of its best lessons and that was to be content with every little thing we had.
